Mike is an accomplished live Sound Engineer with more than 30 years’ experience mixing Front of House or Monitors for touring artists, from clubs to stadiums worldwide.
Calm under pressure, technically proficient, and easy to work with, Mike brings a practical, artist-focused approach to every show, from advancing and system preparation through to the final mix.
Mike provides pre-tour system design and specification, producing schematics and drawings for audio vendors to work from. He prepares console and plugin server files in advance, ensuring everything is ready to hit the ground running at the first rehearsal.

Yes. Mike works with KLANG immersive audio systems for 3D immersive in-ear monitor mixes, alongside conventional wedges, side-fills and in-ear monitoring.

Depending on the agreed scope, work can include advancing, system specifications and drawings, console and plugin preparation, rehearsals, and FOH or monitor mixing during shows.
Mike will have done his homework here, by listening to the artist’s music, confirming the specific audio requirements with the audio team and Production Management, preparing his console files and liaising with the audio vendor to ensure that on day one of rehearsals, the artist can walk in and get straight to work.
Mike prefers the bottom bunk either side, towards the back, never at the front.
Mike has been alcohol-free since 2018, but loves a Guinness 0.0, or most of the other alcohol-free beers.
Mike prefers the quiet life these days, so can often be found hibernating and recharging in his hotel room on days off. Other favourite activities include finding great steak restaurants, or a good chicken Vindaloo.
